“Willy” played Varsity Basketball at Southern High School in 1949 and 1950 being on the All-Star Teams and Southern’ s Championship Teams. He was All-Public and was selected as one of the top ten basketball players in his Senior Year. Willy Jacobs was in the Honor Society and in Student Government, He earned scholarships at Temple and Brandeis Universities. He was a teacher for 21 years. Willy coached at Cherry Hill, Haddonfield, and Woodrow Wilson High Schools. He was also in the team from Star of Israel Synagogue that won the Championship of The Jewish League om 1949
