Scott Nash ’77

Scott Nash is a proud member of SPHS’s class of 1977. He was a starter on Southern’s varsity baseball team for three years and was selected as an All-Public 1st baseman. As a sophomore during the 1975 city playoffs, he achieved a batting average of .667 and helped lead the team to victory in the title game, where he went 3 for 3 at the plate. Scott was selected as Captain of the baseball team his senior year and played on the Football, Soccer and Bowling teams. He had many academic successes at Southern as well. He was a member of the National Honor Society and made the honor roll every semester. Recognized as a Scholar-Athlete, he attributes many of the successes he has had in life to lessons learned both on and off the field at Southern. After High School, Scott began a long and accomplished career in the financial services industry. He is currently an Executive Vice President and Assistant Branch Manager with Janney Montgomery Scott. He has been recognized in the past as a Premier Advisor by the National Association of Board-Certified Advisor Practices (NABCAP) and was selected as Janney’s Financial Advisor of the Year in 2010. Scott is a runner and has completed several 10-mile races and a 1/2 marathon. He resides in Marlton, NJ with his wife, Debbie. They have two children, Jillian and Scott, and two grandchildren, Salvatore and Rosalie.
