Born & raised in South Philadelphia, Ron has never lost the taste of a good thing. He was a two-sport guy excelling of Southern High’s baseball and football teams. Ron was an All Public shortstop for the Rams when they won the Public League Championship in 1968. He was All-Public (team captain) in football, too. He played both offensive and defensive end! He was a member of special teams. Rounding out his Southern experience, he was a member of the stage crew. Ron was inducted into the Athletic HOF in 2009.
