Nate Blackwell started playing varsity basketball as a freshman and was a star for three years. For his outstanding play he was an All-Public member in his Junior year. Not only was Nate All-Public and he was honorably mentioned on the All-American team. Other honors followed at Temple University where he was All-America third team, player of the year in the Atlantic 10. Nate has been elected to the ‘Big Five’ & Temple’s Halls of Fame. He was drafted by the Antonio Spurs in 1987. Nate was the assistant coach to John Chaney for 7 years.
