John was the power driving fullback on our 1944 championship football team. He was All-Public in 1945 and All-Scholastic in 1946. He received twenty-three scholarship offers and finally chose and attended Tulane University. John played fullback for Tulane. He worked part of this thirty-year career at Gulf Oil Corporation in Puerto La Crus, Venezuela. Today, he is President and CEO of Phillips Enterprises. Johnny Phillips lives in Cape May Court House where he is politically active.
