Dick Sheeran ’57

Retired from KYW-TV 3 in 2003, Dick was one of Philly;’s most colorful and best-known feature reporters with a career that had spanned 30 years. Sheeran upon graduation from Southern in 1957, attended Temple University, and St. Joseph’s University before receiving a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Journalism from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey. Dick has done it all from a copy boy at the Philadelphia Daily News to night city editor. Upon his retirement from broadcasting, he was an instructor at Temple University.

At the time of this award, Dick and his wife resided in Atlantic city where he was the President of the Lions Club and a Deacon at the Margate Community Church. He enjoys spending time with his 6 grandchildren.
