Carmen LaRocca worked his way up the ladder of success. In 1949, he captained the Junior Varsity football team to an undefeated season. In 1950, he started playing Varsity football and received All-public honors. He received a scholarship to Temple University. He played for four years, starting two of them at Temple, once being player of the week. He was honored at a downtown luncheon.
After graduating from Temple, Carmen went into the Philadelphia School system working at various schools. He later became Vice Principal at University City High School.
