Derrell Lawrence ’93 , is an American actor, filmmaker, writer, director, executive producer and upcoming author. In 2007, his work was recognized at the Jokara-Micheaeux Video and Film Festival in Georgia with “The Highest Achievement for New Filmmaker Award”. The same year, Philadelphia International Film Festival recognized ‘Life isn’t Fair’ with Silver Award and The People’s Choice Award Market for this first film. Derrell’s Lawrence’s ‘Do You Trust Your Best Friend’ is the first play Derrell has produced which already made a successful stop in Phoenix , AZ . He has also produced and wrote two other hit stage plays: ‘When Heaven Calls’ and “Paying it Forward”. He is the president and founder of Aja Music and Film Production Company in NY and its Chief Creative Officer . He has written , produced and directed Countless Fortune 500 companies television and radio spots. Also.
