To All Graduates of South Philadelphia High School:

Notice, Life Membership Alert!

As Membership Chairman for more than twenty years and President of the Alumni Association prior to that, this letter is meant to touch on subjects dear to my heart and the success of our unique Alumni Association organization.

The cost of producing and mailing more than 3000 news-letters is expensive and behooves each member to report any change of name or address so that we do not get letters returned with "Adressee Unknown!" Our beloved US Postal Service does not go the extra mile in delivering printed material. Every "i" must be dotted and every "t" must be crossed or it is to no avail.

The cost of a Lifetime Membership is still only $25.00 and has been for more than fifty years. Inflation has not affected the dues to become a member. However, it makes a huge difference in converting money into our SPHS Alumni Scholarship Fund, because tuitions to Colleges and Universities are constantly on the increase. As a result we must seek new ways of adding revenue to the fund. Buying a membership in memory of a deceased graduate is an admirable thing to do. I urge you to talk to any who were ever associated with out school or neighborhood to renew your pledge to support South Philadelphia High School.
